Two months of pure ghee for a big family, or one festive season.
Diwali sweets, Navratri prasad, wedding preparations, or simply a large family that loves ghee — the 2 litre pack is made for homes that go through a lot of it. It works out cheaper per litre than our 1 litre pack, and you will not need to reorder for weeks.
Every drop is made at our farm in the slow Bilona way: A2 milk from Kankrej cows, curd set in clay pots, hand-churned with a wooden ravaiya, and the makkhan cooked on a gentle cow dung fire. There is no metal contact at any stage.

How it's Made

Hand-Milked at Dawn
Our day begins before sunrise, when the Kankrej cows are milked by hand. Early morning milk is naturally richer, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.

Made From Curd, Not Cream
Unlike most commercial ghee, ours starts from curd, not direct cream. The milk is first set into curd overnight, which is what gives Bilona ghee its distinct texture and depth of flavour.

Churned with Wood, by Hand
The curd is churned using a wooden ravaiya, entirely by hand, by women artisans who've done this for years. It takes real patience — but there's no rushing good ghee.

Slow-Cooked on Cow Dung Cakes
The butter drawn from churning is then cooked slowly over cow dung cakes. This traditional heat source is gentler and more even, and it's a big part of why the ghee smells the way it does.

Packed into Glass Jars/Can, With Love
Once ready, the ghee is cooled and packed into glass jars, sealed carefully, and shipped straight to your door.

Desi Bilona Ghee — Frequently Asked Questions
Desi Bilona Ghee is ghee made using a traditional Indian method — milk is set into curd, hand-churned in earthen or wooden vessels, and then slow-cooked to separate the ghee. It's a slower, more labour-intensive process than how most commercial ghee is made today.

Ghee enhances vitality, memory, and longevity.
Most regular ghee is made directly from cream or industrial butter using machines. Bilona ghee goes through an extra step — curdling the milk first — and is churned entirely by hand. This gives it a richer aroma, better texture, and more nutritional value.

Yes. Because it's made without any chemical processing and retains natural nutrients, Bilona ghee is often recommended as a wholesome addition to meals for both babies (after they start solids) and elderly family members. As always, check with your doctor for specific dietary needs.

Ghee enhances vitality, memory, and longevity.
It comes down to the process. Slow churning and traditional cooking over cow dung fire preserve nutrients that faster, industrial methods tend to lose. You'll also notice the difference in taste — it's more aromatic and less greasy.

Ghee enhances vitality, memory, and longevity.
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and always use a dry spoon. It doesn't need refrigeration and stays good for months once opened.

Yes, most people notice it right away. A2 ghee from indigenous cows tends to have a grainier texture, a deeper golden colour, and a more pronounced aroma compared to ghee made from mixed-breed or A1 milk.
